ORGANIC WINE PRODUCTION IN LUCCA

OUR WINES


Our wines are organic, characterised by natural fermentations at controlled temperatures. The vineyards feature a great variety of cultivars, testifying to the precious biodiversity preserved in our vineyards. We produce three base wines—one white and two reds—that fully express the territory, following the tradition of Lucchese wines made from a blend of multiple grape varieties. Completing our current production is a pure Syrah.

PIGNE BORDO'


Produced in the Maolina area, primarily from Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes, with smaller quantities of Moscato d’Amburgo, Ciliegiolo, Aleatico, and other local varieties preserved in old vineyards.


This is a typical Lucchese wine, from a historic cru, expressing a terroir highly suited to viticulture due to its composition and exposure. The diverse grape varieties yield a complexity that defies any rigid classification. The ageing process is determined based on the characteristics of each vintage.

SEGALE


Produced in the San Macario in Monte area, predominantly from Sangiovese grapes, with smaller quantities of Ciliegiolo, Canaiolo, Syrah, Moscato Rosa, Aleatico, and other local cultivars.


A complex, elegant wine with spicy notes, directly influenced by the mineral-rich soil composition and the presence of aromatic grape varieties. Situated at 500m above sea level, with excellent exposure towards the sea, the vineyard benefits from greater atmospheric brightness and optimal ventilation, ensuring ideal fruit ripening.


Ageing typically involves a combination of stainless steel and wood, though the final method is chosen based on the vintage.

PIGNE GIALLE


Produced using grapes from Maolina and a small percentage from San Macario in Monte, this white wine is vinified in the French style. It is primarily made from Vermentino and Trebbiano, with smaller percentages of Grechetto, Moscato, Malvasia, and other local varieties. Aged on the lees, it undergoes maturation exclusively in stainless steel and bottle.


This is a unique white wine within the Lucchese landscape, distinguished by its unusual aromas and flavours, thanks to the presence of small quantities of aromatic grapes that provide pleasant fruity and floral notes.

CROCIALE


Produced from Syrah grapes grown in the vineyards of Maolina and Segale, Crociale is a dense, full-bodied wine with an intense, saturated colour, fine and elegant. After fermentation in stainless steel, it is aged for one year in second- and third-passage barriques, followed by at least six months of bottle ageing.
